Bricks and chicks

All I can say is “WOW.” What an incredible Sunday… it is amazing what happens when you surrender yourself to the mission of Jesus and see his power working in and through people. Our setup/teardown team is awesome and so committed to getting there at the butt-crack of dawn to set up chairs and put up pipe/draping, the sound system, among many other things.

I’m not sure anyone was quite expecting that our setup team was gonna need to put out more chairs AND we would run out of the bricks which represented the deep things we hold onto- the “unforgiveness” we hold on to that weigh us down. I gotta give some props to Brad and the multimedia team for the great video and keeping everything running smooth in the back- way to go guys! The band did a sweet job at the Dixie Chicks song “Not Ready To Make Nice,” and no, we did not say “hell” in the song but the message drove home just as clear. Because we really do that- as humans we know that we should unleash unforgiveness, but we’re just so mad and hurt that we can’t let it go…as Jeff said- it’s Unnatural. And we end up carrying this load of baggage around with us that we were never meant to carry. This is definitely some tough stuff to swallow, but the further we go I think God allows us to digest it, and it’s hard and sometimes it really sucks working through it, but like Pastor Jeff said, the benefits are out of this world! So don’t miss the next couple weeks!

In the mean time, get the skinny on the day over here on D*lite’s blog.

Thanks for your wonderful review of yesterday’s services at Lifepoint. Can hardly wait to listen to Jeff’s message. God is changing lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, and we are so glad to be part of these good works!

    Love,
